Shout Out to Dead Gowns

My eldest daughter is working musician — her current project is called Dead Gowns. You can find her music on most streaming services or buy it (and own it) on Bandcamp. She got a nice shout out from Aimsel Ponti, music reviewer for the Portland Press Herald in this morning's newspaper.
In her review of Portland's first Back Cove Festival, Ponti wrote:
The epicenter of my festival experience came at 3:15 on Sunday when my No. 1 pick, Madi Diaz, performed. I was transfixed by a setlist that included “Think of Me,” “For Months Now” and “Same Risk.” Not only that, but Diaz brought out her friend Geneviève Beaudoin for a song. Beaudoin fronts the local alt-folk/indie-rock band Dead Gowns.
When I interviewed Beaudoin earlier this year about the album “It’s Summer, I Love You, and I’m Surrounded by Snow,” Diaz’ name came up. The two are friends, so it makes perfect sense Diaz would invite Beaudoin to sing with her. They sang “Don’t Do Me Good,” from Diaz’s 2024 album “Weird Faith.” The original version features guest vocalist Kasey Musgraves. Against the backdrop of Back Cove, Beaudoin’s vocals shimmered their way through her verse — the stuff that core festival memories are made of.
